FEW WORDS FROM DANIIL
I remember it clearly, a feeling of complete submersion that stayed with me to this day. The film was Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring. At that point, I could not understand how a film could have affected me this much, but I made it a priority to find out. The next day after the screening, I scoured the web to learn everything I could about the making of the film, and in the process a greater passion for the medium has surfaced. Since then, I have aquired a BA in Film Studies from Queens College, completed a one year intensive program at Vancouver Film School, shot, directed, and edited a number of shorts and music videos, and worked on various full feature productions in different capacities (ACing, G/E, Post Production). I am still only at the beginning of my film career, but my drive and passion toward the process of putting together something that has a chance of giving that feeling of submersion to someone else puts me on the express track toward my goals.
Daniil was born in the Siberian town, called Krasnoyarsk, Russia. He moved to the States at the age 15, and currently lives and works out of New York City.
